Tie a Yellow Ribbon

Christmas is a special time when we remember those we love, those we have lost and those just not with us this Christmas. During this Christmas time you are invited to call into Drumceatt Square in Limavady to leave a message on a yellow ribbon that Rotarians on duty will provide you with and then hang it on their Remembrance Christmas Tree. Visitors to the tree can make a donation for every ribbon hung on the tree. All donations will be distributed amongst local charities which include this year the local Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul and Chest Heart & Stroke.

Limavady Rotarians, members of Limavady’s Interact Club, volunteers and friends are manning the Tree right up to Christmas Eve, despite the weather, and are well wrapped up!

Rotary Club President Darren Mornin is proud to have the Remembrance Tree on show for its first year in Limavady and members of the Limavady Rotary Club are overwhelmed by the Limavady public who have made generous donations. Many members of the general public have commented to the Rotarians on how wonderful an idea the Tree is and certainly it is a very positive and timely community project which every member of the local Club is delighted to see.
