Masthead

Harry is our baby!

Harry was born prematurely in Malindi Hospital on the 26th of June 2010. He weighed only 1.5kg. The mother walked out leaving Harry behind. The Children's Officer was notified, who in turn called us to ask if we could take care of Harry. We said we would be delighted, we supplied the hospital with baby milk and pampers, and paid for the medicines needed. Harry had to remain in hospital until his weight was over 2kgs, this he achieved last Friday, so Billy our Social Worker went to bring him home.

The Happy House family were all waiting to welcome their new 'brother' home.

This was written by Sue Hayward, from the Children of Watamu in Kenya. Limavady Rotary Club is sponsoring Harry, so we will provide many of the things that he will need as a growing child.

This is Harry, and we are so grateful to Sue and the Happy House team for looking after him.
